When I think back to my childhood, being raised in the south, I remember the wind that blew inland from off the Gulf Coast, especially in the month of March. This is simply my imagination as the winds were whispering these melodies and improvisations to me. As I relate to these voices, I translated their air streams into rhythm and sound which gave me the idea to name the song "Southwinds." I hope you will enjoy this piece of music. As you listen to it, use your imagination, and you'll see where I'm coming from.
